The History of Three “K” Cabinets
This successful business all started when John Kuhns was just 19 years old. He was a cabinetmaker and decided to make an attempt at starting his own business. He learned the fundamentals of cabinet making while in high school at Derry Area, where he participated in the vo-tech program. These skills guided him on his career path. Now, 43 years later, he is a certified kitchen designer as designated by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. His knowledge of design, layout, and installation is second to none.
Three “K” Cabinets started as a one-story structure located behind his childhood home. In fact, that is where he came up with the name Three “K” Cabinets. His last name is Kuhns and it began with his mother, his brother, and himself – thus Three “K” Cabinets. Once business started to grow, the structure expanded and eventually a second level was added to showcase the 12 displays. One thing has remained constant since 1976 – the loyalty and dedication John shows to his customers and to his community.
